What is the myLink status indicator and what does it show?

The myLink device and smartphone/tablet app make it simple to control your Somfy-powered RTS window coverings. You can create scenes, set schedules, and even connect your myLink to Amazon Alexa or IFTTT. In order to control your motorized window coverings with the myLink, however, you’ll need to have a connection.

The status indicator is the white circle in the upper right corner of your myLink app. This indicator tells you if your mobile device is sending myLink commands over your local WiFi, over an internet connection, or if your mobile device is having trouble connecting to your myLink.

The myLink status indicator is an at-a-glance way to check on your myLink system.

There are 3 possible states for your myLink status indicator:

White O: This means your mobile device can connect to the myLink(s) and commands are being sent over the local WiFi network.

White O with Sight: This means your mobile device can connect to the myLink(s) and commands are being sent over the internet.

White O with Exclamation: This means your mobile device cannot connect to a myLink.
