How to change the batteries in your Eolis 3d Wirefree RTS wind sensor.

When properly installed and maintained, this sensor will automatically retract your awning and help protect it from strong wind.

If your awning automatically retracts every 30 to 60 minutes and no wind is present, this most likely indicates low or depleted batteries. It's probably time to change your batteries.

You will need two AAA alkaline batteries and a small screwdriver.

To begin, carefully remove the case from the mounting plate by gently pushing in the direction indicated by the arrows.

Remove the sensor from the housing using a small screwdriver.

Take out the old batteries and replace with new ones as shown on the diagram in the battery compartment. The green LED light will blink indicating power.

Snap the sensor back into the housing, then slide it back onto the mounting plate, making sure the cover and the arrow are in the same orientation.

To test that the sensor is working correctly, simulate wind by pushing the awning's front bar up and down until it begins to retract. You can stop it by pressing the MY button after 5 seconds.

Your wind sensor is now ready to use. Enjoy the shade under your Somfy-powered awning!
