What is user mode vs. setup mode?
- Setup Mode (Factory/Installer Mode): This is the state the motor is in before the programming is finalized. In this mode, the motor operates in "momentary" fashion, meaning it only moves as long as you are holding the UP or DOWN button. This allows for precise adjustments while setting limits. The motor is open to receiving limit commands and direction changes.
- User Mode: This is the standard operating state after the limits and programming have been set. In User Mode, the motor operates with a brief press of the UP or DOWN button to send the motor directly to the established limit.
