How to add or remove additional RTS controls for your rolling shutter.

Radio Technology Somfy® offers great flexibility in the way rolling shutters are controlled. For example, one shutter can be controlled by one transmitter or by several transmitters. A group of shutters can be controlled as a group and individually by one or several transmitters. You can also mix and match RTS controls, including timers, sensors, app and voice control, as well as via third-party home automation systems.

Adding Controls to Your Rolling Shutter

First, let's add more controls to an already programmed shutter.

Starting with an already programmed RTS transmitter, press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON on the back of the control until the shutter jogs.

Next, select the new RTS transmitter or channel on a multi-channel transmitter to be added.

Briefly press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON of that control. The motor will jog, confirming the new control. Test that your new control works by pressing the UP or DOWN buttons.

Let's add a Smoove wall switch next. Again, starting with an already programmed RTS transmitter, press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON on the back until the shutter jogs.

Next, briefly press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON on the back of the Smoove switch. The motor will jog, confirming the new control.

Test that your new control works by pressing the UP or DOWN buttons.

Now let's add a Situo remote. Once again, starting with an already programmed RTS transmitter, press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON until the shutter jogs.

Next, briefly press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON on the back of the Situo remote. The motor will then jog, confirming the new control.

Test that your new remote works by pressing the UP or DOWN buttons.

Finally, let's add a multi-channel DecoFlex wall switch. Starting with an already programmed RTS transmitter, press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON on the front of the switch until the shutter jogs.

Next, take the DecoFlex switch and select a channel; in our case, we're selecting channel 1. Now briefly press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON with a paper clip.

The motor will jog, confirming the new control. Test that your DecoFlex works by pressing the UP or DOWN buttons.

Congratulations, now all transmitters will control your rolling shutter!

Removing Controls From Your Rolling Shutters

First, start with a transmitter that will not be deleted. Press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON on that control until the motor jogs.

Next, take the remote (or select the channel) you wish to delete and briefly press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON of that control. The motor will jog, confirming the deletion.

You can check that the control has been deleted from the motor's memory by pressing UP or DOWN – the motor should not react.

Now we will repeat that with another transmitter. Press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON on a control that you don't wish to delete until the motor jogs.

Next, take the remote you'd like to delete and briefly press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON of that control. The motor will jog, confirming the deletion.

The same procedure applies to any RTS controls.

NOTE: When working with a multi-channel transmitter, make sure you choose the correct channel for deletion.
