Learn How to Activate the Touch Motion Feature for Your Motorized Drapery

Motorization extends the lifespan of draperies by minimizing the damage associated with manual operation. Pulling your curtains open or closed can damage fabric over time. This is why the touch motion feature is not automatically activated when the motor is first programmed.

However, if you would like to have the option to activate your drapery manually, for example in case of a power outage, you may choose from two sensitivity settings: standard or low sensitivity.

To activate either, first move the drapery away from its limits.

Then initiate programming by pressing and holding both the UP and DOWN buttons at the same time, until the drapery jogs. A jog is a back and forth motion of your motorized drapery.

For the standard sensitivity setting, press and hold the UP and DOWN buttons one more time until a jog.

Then press the MY/STOP until the drapery jogs, confirming the new setting.

To activate the low sensitivity setting, start with your drapery away from its limits. Press and hold the UP and DOWN buttons until a jog to initiate programming. Then press and hold the UP and DOWN buttons two more times for a total number of three times, each time holding the buttons until your drapery moves back and forth.

To confirm the setting, press the MY button until the drapery jogs.

You may disable the touch motion function at any time by repeating the same steps you used for activation.
