How to Clear All Transmitters From the Memory of Your Rolling Shutter Motor

If you've lost the control for your motorized rolling shutter or you've damaged your remote, it might be helpful to clear all the transmitters from your motor's memory in order to program new controls. Don't worry, this is not a complicated process.

The video below will help you through the steps to clear your motor's memory.

STEP 1: Perform a Double Power Cut

First, turn the power to the concerned motor OFF for 2 seconds.

Next, turn the power back ON for 10 seconds.

Then, turn the power OFF again for 2 seconds.

Finally, turn the power back ON. The motor should either jog or move up or down for about 5 seconds, depending on the shutter's location at the time of the power cut.

This jog means that the old transmitters have been deleted from your motor’s memory.

STEP 2: Add a New Transmitter

To add a new transmitter, press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON on the back of the selected control (this button is located in the front for the DecoFlex wall switch) until the motor jogs or moves up or down for about 5 seconds.

You've now cleared all former transmitters from the motor's memory and programmed your new control!
